History of CPP
1973 On August 3, 1973, in order to build Daqing-Fushun oil pipeline, the first long-distance crude oil pipeline in China, the “August Third” pipeline construction command headquarters was established according to the instructions of the State Council and the Central Military Commission of China. Through the integration of national oil and gas pipeline construction teams and resources, Oil and Gas Pipeline Bureau, the predecessor of CPP, was formally established, which was affiliated to the then China Ministry of Fuel and Chemical Industry. After that, with the reform of Chinese government agencies, Oil and Gas Pipeline Bureau was subordinated to the Ministry of Petroleum Industry which was reformed to China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) later.
1992
In 1992, the company was renamed as China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau which was (CPP) responsible for the construction and operation of China oil and gas pipeline network.
1999
In 1999, after divesting its oil and gas pipeline operation business, China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau was restructured into a professional pipeline engineering company which was mainly responsible for the construction of long-distance pipeline projects. Since then, China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau has started the internationalization process of “going out”, and entered a leap-forward development stage. It has gradually expanded its business scope and strengthened its international operation capabilities, becoming a world-class comprehensive service provider of oil and gas storage and transportation engineering.
2017
